From City officials in Mason City, regarding the downtown streetscape area:
– Traffic control signs to be installed in next couple of days.
– Parking space striping to be completed this week or early next….and ‘street closed’ signs will then be removed.
– Remaining plantings (1700 daylilies) to be completed this weekend.
– Masons have begun placing the white ceramic tiles in the decorative piers…pier lighting and metal tops to follow.
– ½ of the benches were installed yesterday…the remainder to follow soon.
– Trash receptacles and bike racks not yet shipped….still waiting on delivery.
Everyone is urged ñ citizens, residents, business owners, property owners ñ to keep our downtown clean and tidy. Cigarette butts… please put containers by your business’ doors where patrons go outside to smoke. Thank you.|
