Jimmy John’s may still locate in Mason City.
According to a spokesperson from Jimmy John’s, “we are still looking for a spot in that area.”
If and when a spot is chosen, it would be months before the restaurant opened. “All I have is an orange blob on the map, which means we are looking. We may not find a suitable location, though,” the spokesperson said. She said company plans to open stores go all the way through January, and Mason City is not on their list so far.
Mason City’s Growth and Development Director Pam Myhre told NorthIowaToday.com that “The Development Review Committee has met with their (Jimmy John’s) representatives looking at two different sites along Hwy 122 west side, and it looks like they are moving ahead with a Mason City location.”
Jimmy John’s is a sandwich shop and touts itself as “America’s Favorite Sandwich Delivery Guys!”
A visit to their Facebook page seemed to indicate mixed reviews.|
