North Iowa Connect, a group that bills itself as “wanting to change the 21 and over attitudes in Mason City and Clear Lake” will hold a “Pre-Council Meeting!” tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason City Public Library Commons.
From their website:
“Have you been interested in checking out a City Council meeting but haven’t done it? Maybe you’ve been intimidated because you don’t know how meetings are run. Or maybe you just don’t want to go alone. Here’s your chance to give it a go – come to this North Iowa Connect ‘Pre-Council Meeting!’
During these meetings, held 30 minutes prior to the start of the council meeting, copies of that night’s agenda will be available and we will review the procedures of the meeting. Then all interested participants can attend the council meeting.
If you’ve ever thought ‘maybe someday I’ll go to one of those council meetings,’ join us!”
