Newman coach Curt Bonzer thanked the Supervisors for recognizing his team and said his team worked very hard in the off-months to achieve their title. Bonzer said he has been coaching for six years and has made the state tournament every year except his first year, missing the tourney by one stroke.
In other business, supervisors signed an application to Adopt-a-Highway for the North Iowa Touring Club, OK’d a fireworks permit, OK’d a new driveway, and OK’d more cooperation with other Iowa counties for use of Cerro Gordo county’s election software.
