ï Local IWD will work with you to develop a training plan (based on the written job description) reflecting skills that will be taught and a general timeline for that training.
ï Potential employees are those that have been laid off from their previous position and been unable to find full-time permanent work.
ï You must contact IWD before hiring the new employee.
ï Once the employee is hired, you will submit monthly payment vouchers showing hours worked and wages paid. Note that wages, benefits and working conditions must be comparable to other employees.
ï You will fill out brief evaluations of progress by the new employee.
ï The new hire cannot be a replacement for a laid off worker in the same position.
ï The documentation requirements on your part are minimalólocal IWD will make the process a smooth one to limit your time commitment.
