Two Mason City businesses have reported to the police department receiving counterfeit twenty dollar bills. The counterfeit bills appear to have been printed on regular printer paper and the front and the back were glued together to make a two-sided bill. The counterfeit bills were then distressed to make them appear worn.

If you believe that you have received counterfeit currency, contact the Mason City police department or your local law enforcement agency.
