Iowa Business Plan Competition Deadline Drawing Near; Entries due April 30

The deadline for small businesses to submit business plan information for the John Pappajohn Iowa Business Plan Competition for the chance to win $25,000 is drawing near. |The deadline for small businesses to submit business plan information for the John Pappajohn Iowa Business Plan Competition for the chance to win $25,000 is drawing near.

The John Pappajohn Iowa Business Plan Competition is designed to stimulate business development and provide support for business ideas and plans and encourage entrepreneurs with start-up seed money. It will also showcase the many entrepreneurial ideas and highlight the entrepreneurial activity within Iowa. The competition is open to all new and start-up Iowa companies that have been in business for less than four years.

Applicants are required to submit business information via AngelSoft by April 30. A link to the AngelSoft submission page is available at the competition website, www.IowaBusinessPlanCompetition.com.

Assistance with business plan development is available at the Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers located at Drake University, Iowa State University, North Iowa Area Community College, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa; the Small Business Development Centers throughout the state; and the business accelerators in Ames, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Dubuque, Iowa City, Red Oak and Mason City.
