Blog topic: Why is it that so many people get a lot more back in tax refunds than they paid in to start with?

Why is it that so many people get a lot more back in tax refunds than they paid in to start with. it is because of the earned income credit. there are a lot of people who get thousands of dollars more in tax refunds than they paid in taxes to start with. this is just plain wrong. these are the same people who get benefits all year long due to being in the low income brackets.
