AMES, Iowa ñ Iowa State linebacker Jake Knott had successful surgery Friday afternoon at Mary Greeley Hospital to repair a break in the ulna bone in his right arm suffered Thursday in practice.
“Jake is recovering well,” Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads said. “The total recovery time for an injury of this nature is about two months. We are confident that he will be ready to go for fall practice in August.”
Knott, a junior from Waukee, made 130 tackles en route to earning second-team all-Big 12 honors last season. He started every game last season and was second in the league in tackles.
