A bull riding show took place Friday night at the North Iowa fairgrounds. “It was a pretty good time,” said one person who attended. Young and old participated. There was also a show Saturday night.|The crowd was sparse but the enthusiasm wasn’t, Friday night at the North Iowa Fairgrounds as a bull riding show was put on. There was also a show Saturday night. The show was presented by Circle C Rodeo Productions.
Huge bulls were ridden by brave cowboys, and there were prizes available for the participants. There was also “mutton bustin” which a few children even participated in. Some of the participants wore protective head gear.
One person told NorthIowaToday.com “There was supposed to be a “Money the Hard Way Contest”, there wasn’t.” Money the Hard Way participants were to sign up to get a tag that would be put on a bulls forehead. The first one to get it would win the pot. “I asked afterwards why they didn’t have it, the announcer said there weren’t enough people that signed up.”
“I talked to a lady in the announcement box and she said that there were supposed to be 40 bulls. I think there was only half that many,” the same person said. “The rides we did see were fun the watch.”
Awards were presented at the end of the show. It cost $17 at the door for adults to get in.
