On Saturday April 9, 2011 at approximately 6:40 pm a Clear Lake officer stopped a vehicle driven by 38 year old Christopher Dean Wood of Clear Lake. Mr. Wood was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Mr. Wood told the officer that he needed to go because he had left a 4 year old child alone at his apartment. After hearing that, another officer was dispatched to an address in Clear Lake where a four year old child was found to be alone. Clear Lake officers contacted the mother of the child at her workplace and arranged to unite her with her child. Mr. Wood was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he was booked for Driving under Suspension, No Insurance, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Child Endangerment.
