“Tracking Toads and Frogs” program to be held at Lime Creek

A program entitled “Tracking Toads and Frogs” will be held on Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Lime Creek Nature Center.

Dr. Paul Bartelt, professor of Biology at Waldorf College, is the guest speaker.

Declines in amphibian populations have been a growing concern among ecologists for over two decades.
Faculty and students at Waldorf College have spent the last couple years, using radio telemetry, physical models, and genetic analysis to find out how quickly amphibians utilize restored wetlands within a landscape of croplands and how they travel between them. Dr. Bartelt will discuss the preliminary results of this local study on these amazing creatures.

There is no charge for this program. Call 641-423-5309 for more information.
