Talented point guard will have to sit out one season and will join the team for the 2012-2013 season.|Talented point guard Korie Lucious is joining Fed Hoiberg’s Iowa Sate Cyclones basketball team. Lucious will have to redshirt the 2011-2012 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Lucious scored 439 points and made 95 3-pointers in 2 seasons with Michigan State.
Lucious joins former Spartan teammate Chris Allen on the team. Allen is eligible to play in 2011-2012 for his senior season, so they will not be able to play together.
Lucious told cyclones.com “I really felt Coach Hoiberg and his connections made Iowa State the best place for me,” Lucious said. “It’s the best opportunity for me in continuing my playing career. I am really excited to be teammates with Chris Allen again. He is one of my closest friends. I know I won’t be able to play next year, but I can work hard every day in practice and make the team better. I can’t wait to get there.”
