City of Mason City listed several of its departments that were over budget through the end of November of this year. Some should fall into line as the year progresses.|The following City departments are over budget as of November 30, 2010. Action may be necessary to bring these departments in line with their budget. Some departments may have to tap the City’s reserves to catch up with expenditures. Overall, the City is about $290,000 under budget for the year.

– Police: Over by 2.14%

– Neighborhood services: Over by 3.34%

– Growth Development & Planning: Over by 0.51%

– Youth Task Force: Over by 5.01%

– Purchase of Services: Over by 9.99%

– Mayor & Council: Over by 8.18%

– City Administrator: Over by 2.55%

– City Offices: Over by 5.52%

– General Administration: Over by 14.43%

– General – Capital Improvements: Over by 8.42%

– Parks: Over by 20.56%

– Recreation: Over by 6.48%

– Swimming Pool: Over by 32.77%

– Library: Over by 32.32%

– Museum: Over by 12.65%

– Airport: Over by .55%

– Cemetery: Over by 5.38%
