Mason City woman arrested on theft charges

MASON CITY -A Mason City woman was arrested on third degree theft charges recently.

Almyra Elizabeth Sharp, 37, was arrested after a shoplifting incident at Kum & Go gas station, 1303 4th Street SW, on September 10th around 8 AM.

Sharp was arrested and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail that day on a charge of third degree (enhanced, habitual offender), an aggravated misdemeanor.

Currently, Sharp is set to be arraigned on lottery fraud charges on October 30th, 2012, after a citation from the Mason City Police Department on July 30th, 2012 that also involves charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sharp has also been convicted of OWI in 2006, in which Sharp still owes $875.06; public intoxication in 2006 and 2009 (still owes $75); fifth degree theft and public intoxication in 2011 (still owes $582.37); public intoxication and disorderly conduct in 2012 (still owes $874.50); public intoxication again in June of 2012 (still owes $330.00); fifth degree theft again in 2012 (still owes $491.99); public intoxication once again in August of 2012 (still owes $363.00); fourth degree theft in 2011 (still owes $344.03); and violations involving animals.
