DES MOINES – Governor Reynolds alerted the media today that she will skip a hotel ribbon-cutting event this week and instead meet with President Trump about pressing issues on trade.
Reynolds will meet with President Donald Trump and other governors and congressional leaders on Thursday to discuss issues impacting the agricultural community, including trade. She will be at the White House Thursday morning at 10 AM Central Time for discussions, her office says.
Gov. Reynolds will not attend a previously announced ribbon cutting in Muscatine at the Merrill Hotel & Conference Center on Thursday. Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg will attend the event in her absence.
