Charles City police raid homes in search of illegal drugs

CHARLES CITY – Charles City police raided homes this week in search of illegal drugs.

According to the Charles City police department, officers executed two search warrants Monday, March 19 in search of narcotics. One search was conducted at a residence in the 600 block of South Jackson Street at about 2:20 PM. Police said “several narcotics related items were seized.” The investigation involved the assistance of the Floyd county sheriff’s office and the State Fire Marshal Division.

The second search warrant was executed at about 5:31 PM at a residence in the 1000 block of South Johnson Street. Narcotics related items were also seized during this operation.

Police say “multiple charges on multiple individuals are pending as officers continue the investigation,” but there appears to have been no arrests thus far.
