MASON CITY – Mason City police today confirmed a new search warrant in the Jodi Huisentruit missing person investigation.

Earlier Friday, a website dedicated to the Jodi Huisentruit missing person investigation claimed that a search warrant was executed by the Mason City police department in connection to that case.

Mason City Chief of Police Jeff Brinkley confirmed this, telling NIT, “As you know, we continue to actively work Jodi’s Huisentruit’s missing persons case from June 27, 1995. The search warrant you are referring to is part of our ongoing investigation. We do not have any public comment at this time about the content of the search warrant or the person(s) named in it.”

According to public records and outlined further on FindJodi.com, a search warrant was applied for by Mason City police last March. The search allegedly involved vehicles belonging to Arthur John Vansice, a former acquaintance of Jodi Huisentruit and allegedly the last person to see her alive. FindJodi.com reports that the two vehicles listed in the court files are a 1999 Honda Civic and 2013 GMC 1500.

“FindJodi.com called the Cerro Gordo County Clerk of Court and confirmed there was an envelope there, it was officially sealed and no information could or would be sent to us,” the website reads.

The Mason City police department told NIT that they would ask anyone with information about Jodi’s disappearance contact Lt. Rich Jensen, their Criminal Investigations Division supervisor, at 641-421-3636.  Last summer, they confirmed their commitment to solving the case.

Citizens have been perplexed for decades about the disappearance of KIMT anchor Jodi Huisentruit in 1995 from a Mason City apartment complex, leading to many theories about what may have happened.

A credible Psychic or remote viewer would have been the answer, after 23 years a search warrant, sounds like a scapegoat is needed. Money For Nothing, https://youtu.be/uoaBjHYsDAg.

I hope the MCPD are following up on these psycho comments expressed here. What is the matter with the world!?!?!?

Here s a weirdo – a prominent sort of well too doo official type person knocked her up and had to have her removed to save face and money. – body was disappeared by hog lot or car crusher – will speak to Sherlock when he gets off work at Mc Donalds at noon. – No more to come.

Wouldn’t it be nice if MCPD applied the same zeal to solving dead baby crimes? Precious Jodi…darling little media whore. But the poor and underrepresented get no such luxury.

Nice comment. Walk in front of a bus.

At least everyone knows who Jodi’s parents are and they were there for her in her life time.

Good job! Rummage through his cars that weren’t even built yet at the time of her disappearance. I’m sure he keeps samples of her hair in the glovebox. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

It would be nice if the person or people involved in this disappearance were caught and convicted, so there could be closure in this case.
