IOWA CITY – Rashod Develt Aldridge was pronounced dead due to cardiac arrest at 7:44 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he had been housed due to complications from a chronic disease and the flu. Aldridge was 29 years old at the time of his death.
Aldridge had been serving a 10 year maximum sentence for the crimes of voluntary manslaughter and going armed with intent from Black Hawk County. His sentence began on March 10, 2017.
