MASON CITY – A top Iowa female soloist will return to Mason City to sing the National Anthem at a high school boy’s basketball game.
Jaianna Green has been asked to sing the anthem on February 13 at the Mohawk gym before the Mason City boy’s basketball game against West Des Moines Valley.
Jaianna, a 16-year-old Junior at Cedar Rapids Kennedy is the daughter of Mason City native Ty Green, a former MCHS basketball star. She is a very active show choir member/soloist, an honor roll student, and enjoys spending time with her teammates and loving father. Throughout her years in show choir, she has received 11 best female soloist awards and was in an undefeated show choir in her middle school years. Jaianna was selected for the 2014 and 2015 Opus Honor Choir in Ames, Iowa.
Recently, Jaianna has sang the National Anthem at the ice arena in Cedar Rapids on December 8th and for the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders ice hockey team and the Thomas Lepic home team MMA championship at the US Cellular Center on December 29th. Jaianna has sang for Zach Johnson’s Elmcrest Country Club twice for the annual golf tourney.
Jaianna will be working on a CD at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy “Cave CR Recording Studio.” She has also sung the national anthem for various venues including The Double Tree Hotel, US Cellular, and The Marriott for the Big Brother Big Sister Program Fundraiser. She has performed at the Riley Smith Festival at Newbo and was asked to perform with Riley Smith on stage for the Festival. Jaianna was also a contestant on America’s Got Talent and will be going to the “Voice” later in the year.
Jaianna performed the National Anthem in Mason City in the All Seasons Building at the North Iowa Events Center on August 25, 2017.
She is so pretty! I love this young lady. I hope she becomes the next big thing and makes millions of dollars. Can’t wait to buy her CD!
Christ told us not to take any oaths/pledge’s, that includes a flaf/piece of cloth keep brainwashing the youth, also the U.S. which is not a country yet a “corporation” they have initiated/been involved in what 239 wars/conflicts for what? Also “land of the slave” not land of the free, wake up.
