MASON CITY – A Mason City man wanted for months on a felony burglary charge turned himself in to the county jail – and was quickly released.
Clear Lake police charged 27-year-old Garet Glenn Germundson of Mason City with felony third-degree burglary, obstruction of emergency communications and fifth-degree criminal mischief after an alleged crime he committed back in June of this year. He was supposed to appear for arraignment in September, but failed to appear in court, leading to an arrest warrant. He finally surrendered to the county jail on December 5.
Germundson quickly posted $5,000 cash bond and was set free. He is scheduled for an arraignment on December 12.
