MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed this week after displaying a dangerous weapon during an alleged assault crime.
Mason City police were sent to 109 10th Street SW for a report of an assault there. After an investigation, officers determined that 34-year-old David Allen Berger, Jr., had committed an assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. As a result, Berger was arrested on a charge of aggravated misdemeanor assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and taken to the county jail.
Berger was quickly released, pending a hearing set for December 27.
Berger was guilty of assault in Mason City in 2002.
