NIACC women roll past Central CC, 111-51

FORT DODGE – For the seventh time this season, the No. 9 NIACC women surpassed the 100-point mark,

NIACC cruised to a 111-51 victory over Central CC-Columbus on Saturday at the Great Western Shootout on the Iowa Central campus. The 111 points is the fifth-highest point total for the Lady Trojans.

The 111 points came a day after the Lady Trojans scored a season-low in a 67-54 loss to Northeast CC.

“I outthought myself (Friday),” NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said. “We have a lot of talented players and I have to use them.”

On Saturday, freshman Mikayla Homola led six Lady Trojans in double figures with 15 points. Also in double figures were Selena Shady (12), Laker Ward (12), Tahya Campbell (12), Kelsie Willert (12) and Adria Stewart (10).

NIACC was 19 of 43 from 3-point range. Willert had four 3-poinit goals and Stewart had three 3-point goals.

Kenlie Pytleski led NIACC with seven rebounds. Morgan Frank led with six assists and UU Longs collected four steals.
