MASON CITY – The No. 11 NIACC wrestling team dropped a 30-12 decision to top-ranked Ellsworth Wednesday night in the NIACC gym.
NIACC picked up a fall from top-ranked Austin Anderly (2-0) at 141 pounds. The Trojans’ Zach Wagenhoffer (1-1) won by decision at 174 pounds and Jaylen Lee (1-1) won by decision in overtime at 184 pounds.
NIACC (0-2 in duals) returns to action Saturday at the Coe College Invitational.
Notes – Anderly moved his career record to 16-7 with 3 falls, 1 tech. fall and 4 major decisions … Lee’s career record is now 11-15.
