MASON CITY – Democratic candidate for Governor Cathy Glasson will be holding a town hall in Mason City on Thursday, November 16th, at 6:30 pm. The town hall will be held at First Congregational UCC, 100 1st NE.
Cathy Glasson grew up in Spencer, Iowa. She is a Nurse and Union leader and is running what she describes as “A bold, progressive agenda that puts working Iowans first.” She is running on a platform of raising the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour, making it easier for workers to join a union or come together in employee organizations, and universal healthcare to cover every Iowan.
It’s about winning. She’s in the medical profession and her platform is very idealistic at the present moment in our society. The odds are indeed stacked against her. But she can still win. With anything that a person desires to obtain it’s a simple matter of assessing the odds and using what works to your advantage. As a matter of fact men are handsome and women are beautiful. And eye candy draws people in.
