MANCHESTER, IOWA – Police in the small Northeast Iowa town say a teen was caught with a gun at a high school parking lot.
The Manchester Police Department responded to a complaint of a juvenile who may have been in possession of a firearm in the parking lot of West Delaware High School on September 29, 2017. The incident was investigated by law enforcement and the appropriate charges were prepared. The case has been turned over to juvenile authorities.
A Manchester man, Ted Jenmanson, wrote via social media “I have a son in high school and I want to know why I had to learn about this on Facebook days later, I’m pissed!”
This incident comes after several threats lodged recently in Iowa at schools. As NIT has reported, a threats were sent in Buffalo Center, Mason City, Estherville, Algona , West Des Moines, and Eagle Grove.
