I have searched the Sunday Globe – twice – no John Skipper column in today’s paper.
So this then gives us all license to speculate. There could be multiple reasons as to why his diatribe is missing and I am sure after the disappointment of its absence has settled, each of you are waiting with baited breath for my analogy. Well wait no longer……
I personally think the absence of John’s column is tied to the lies coming out of City Hall. Blunt faced lies tied to this whorehouse of a Renaissance project. John is a Christian and I know his moral compass has reached its limit… enough is enough. Don’t forget it was just other day he printed the truth at the end of an article. Now I am going to recite a famous quotation…. not attributed to me, I will search its author and report back.
“More lies are printed upon newsprint than any other form of communication.”
This should tell you that you need to temper your belief in newsprint and City Halls which compete with the press. I have urged you to vote no on this latest magic act concocted by people who are not your friends…. if they were your friends, they wouldn’t have tried to bury you in pig shit and destroy the value of your home not that long ago. Look…. open your eyes…. these are the same people. Wake up! They are holding camp meetings for people with room temperature IQ’s to put you in the ether.
Stay home or if you have already been exposed, then go to the hospital and get detoxed. If the same people running those “tent shows” were selling Aluminum Siding they would all starve to death.
I promise you the naked truth will soon appear; the truth is always naked… .never covered up. Just vote no and you will be safe.

You would like that, huh? Vote no following behind you like sheep. Well, we do our own thinking. This town needs to grow, it is falling behind other cities in Iowa. This project is not the economic engine the food plant would have been, but it will move this town forward. I urge everyone who wants to see this town improve and grow to vote yes so we can at least make the next moves to getting a project off the ground that has the potential to move the needle, to see Mason City become something other than the town of the negative likes of Max Weaver, Peter Children, and Matt Marquart. Vote yes to move forward.
I’ll be voting no. But will be moving out of the area in 2 months.
How will this project move this town forward, What I see is bunch of low paying hotel job, I see people from other town with business in those towns, just getting to together, in a town that they have no plans of bringing their business here or starting a business here like a big manufacturing plant. We do not need a hotel we need jobs, good paying jobs. I have never meet anyone saying I think I will move to Mason City because they have a new hotel or a chain restaurant. Plus it will put our city in debit for decades to come, all this because Mason City riches want a new place for their brat kids to play and the fairgrounds are too lower class for them, God forbid they have to sit with people who they think are beneath them. And all this will be paid for on the backs of the working class. the riches can afford new taxes but, most of us can not.
It would be very funny if Prestage and the other Hog poducers have Conference here and stiff Mason City with the bill. :):):)

It clearly stated in the Globe that Skipper’s column was excluded because of all the letters to the editor. Apparently there wasn’t room for his column. Whether that’s true or not, who knows?

for the no votes to count we need more then a 17% turnout, I urge you to contact everyone you know and get them to vote NO. know some elderly people who perhaps don’t drive, offer them a ride to the polls, EVERY LAST VOTE COUNTS
I totally agree with your comment. Here is a suggestion….talk to your neighbors on each side of your home, put together a carvan of as many neighbors as you can then drive to the courthouse where you can all vote effortlessly. ….remember Vote No! These city officials are lying to you. They are not telling you the truth. They talk about some make believe “ recovery act,” don’t buy into that mumble jumbo double talk.
I have already been talking to as many people I can find. Almost every single one is voting NO. They all remember getting screwed by the elite before.
