MINNEAPOLIS – A large reward is being offered for details that lead to arrests of those persons who ignited an explosion at a Bloomington, Minnesota Muslim community center.

A $30,000 reward is now being offered for information regarding the August 5, 2017 explosion at the Dar Al Farooq Community Center in Bloomington. The FBI Minneapolis Division remains committed to identifying those responsible.

“This effort continues to be FBI Minneapolis’ top priority,” the agency said this week, while thanking the public “for their cooperation and the critical information they have provided to our investigators. In support of continued cooperation and to encourage others to come forward, the FBI is now offering a $30,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the subject(s) responsible for the explosion. This reward is separate and unrelated to any rewards offered by other entities.”

The FBI says the explosion was “caused by a destructive device in violation of federal law.” No one was hurt, but the building incurred fire and smoke damage.

The number to phone in clues is 1-800-CALL-FBI and follow the prompts. Calls to the FBI are confidential.
