SPIRIT LAKE, IOWA – A woman found passed out in a Spirit Lake gas station was taken to jail for drunk driving and possession of meth.
On Tuesday, July 18th, 2017, Spirit Lake Police were called to Kum&Go in Spirit Lake for a report of a woman passed out on the property. Upon arrival officers made contact with 34 year old Elizabeth Ehrig of Spirit Lake. Ehrig was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (serious misdemeanor). Upon further investigation as a result of this incident a search warrant was executed at 11302 270th Avenue Place Lot 7 in Spirit Lake. Ehrig was additionally charged with possession of prescription medication (serious misdemeanor), possession of methamphetamine (serious misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Ehrig was booked into the Dickinson County Jail.
