MASON CITY – A Mason City will be sent to an Iowa prison for up to 10 years for lascivious acts with a child.
Gregory Scott Courtier, age 47, had been wanted since November in connection to a child sex abuse case, until Mason City police nabbed him in a van near downtown Mason City on January 11. The charge was brought by Mason City police after an alleged incident on February 14, 2016, in which he inappropriately touched a child.
Courtier finally entered a guilty plea in the case and was sentenced last week to up to 10 years in prison. He must also register as a sex offender. He remains in the Cerro Gordo county jail, waiting to be sent to an Iowa prison.
