CHARLES CITY – An Iowa man with a long criminal past was caught with a stolen car in Charles City recently.
On the afternoon of May 15, officers with the Charles City Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 100 block of 5th Avenue sitting in an alleyway. As a result of the call and ensuing investigation, the officers arrested David Matthew Glenn, age 24 of Lytton for possession of a stolen vehicle. The owner of the stolen vehicle from out of county was notified and the vehicle will be returned to them when they make it to town.
Glen remains in the Floyd county jail at this time on a charge of felony second-degree theft. He will be arraigned on June 27.
Court records show David Glen has been arrested numerous times in counties across the state of Iowa for crimes ranging from felony burglary, to theft, to stealing cars.
