RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A North End man was caught tooling south on Interstate 35 with the dangerous drug methamphetamine.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy conducted a traffic stop at about 8:02 PM on March 22, 2017, near the 190 mile marker on Interstate 35 Southbound – just outside Clear Lake. As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, the driver, 28-year-old William David Hanus of Mason City was arrested on charges of second-offense possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked and no SR-22 insurance.
In 2008, Hanus was accused in Hamilton county of delivery of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a park and possession of a firearm. Court notes say the charges were dismissed in connection to the county attorney’s trial information pursuant to a plea deal on other charges. He was ordered, however, to pay $728.20 in court costs in connection to the meth and firearm charges. He’s been caught drunk driving as many as three times.
Seems like Mr. Anus doesn’t get it, butt maybe now if he goes to jail he will in the end.
That would be justice.

This asshole blew smoke at everybody that I know, causing me hell , making me look bad after stealing my son’s dirt bike in trading it for a piddly amount of drugs and cash and even calling my job with an anonymous tip that ultimately got me fired. All lies. All things he’s guilty of himself. With the county attorney in his back pocket, and no way to do anything to him criminally. This is after I got him back on his feet both times he got out of prison. Giving him everything and even the shirt off my back, he started taking things like I owed it to him , and complained when I said no more.
Scum. After finding out he took the bike I turned off his phone, besides the fact he didn’t pay the bill for seven months, and he thought he could storm in my house and threatened to kill me and acted like I was wrong, saying he was going to show me how it feels and I got something coming to me as he got persuaded out the front door at gunpoint. Which again I was wrong for doing.
On a happy note I got the bike back.

In 2008 he went to federal prison for those charges. Dropped at the state level! I know because I am the WOMAN who became his Co defendent when he set me up.
I bet he thinks hes a tough guy. The sad thing is he squeeled like a pig as soon as he had to take responsibility for his own behavior.
