Iowa man arrested for connection to June bank robbery in Fort Madison

FORT MADISON – On Thursday, October 27, 2016 Kenneth Lee Lilly, 56, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested for his role in the June 29, 2016 bank robbery of the Fort Madison Bank and Trust Co. Lilly has been charged with one (1) count of Aiding and Abetting (Iowa Criminal Code 703.1)-Robbery First Degree (Iowa criminal code 711.2) a class B felony. In the state of Iowa, a Class B felony is punishable up to twenty five years of prison. Lilly is currently housed at the Lee County Correctional Center with a $25,000.00 bond.

This has been a joint investigation by the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Iowa State Patrol (ISP), Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Natural Resource and the Lee County Attorney’s Office.
