MASON CITY – A Mason City police officer recently spotted a young man “darting into the bushes” near a church and suspected him of urinating there, but no charges were brought.
The incident took place on August 15 around 1:31 PM, when according to a police report, a Mason City police officer “observed a subject urinating on private property.”
Police tell NIT that “the officer saw a young male, approximately 20 years old, acting a little odd before darting into the bushes near the St. James Church.”
The officer investigated as the male came back into view, then spoke with the subject about the incident. The officer assumed at the time that the subject may have urinated in the bushes.
However, the officer could not definitively prove what the man was doing and no charges were filed, police confirmed today. The name of the individual was not released.

The official report probably reads, “Officer checked for nitrogenous waste material in the area but could find none. Suspect did a good job of hiding where he was marking his spot.” Officer high 5’ed the suspect and the two exchanged pleasantries.
Hey geniuses. You cannot be put on the sex offender list for urinating in public. The sex offender registery is a consequence that can be ordered by a judge. Youd have to stand there with your penis out, and prove that it was an act for sexual gratification.
Your charge would be urination in public. Anyone that tells you they got on the registry because they peed in public, is hiding diddling a child.

But if your genitals are exposed when you do it, you can get arrested for indecent exposure and then you’ll end up on the registry.

Absolutely not. I can name 10+ people that fondled themselves with their genitals out, and never made it to the sex offender list. This is decided by a judge and plea bargain terms.
Urinating, and possibly showing your genitals or deficating and showing your butt are not ever going to get you on the list. This is coming from someone that works in legal background.
Sexuality is treated like a taboo forbidden fruit, when in reality it’s a concentrated area of nerve cell body tissue that creates intense pleasurable feelings, which nature uses as an incentive for procreation. Guilt has been constructed around this for some strange reason in our ancestral history.

It’s always easy to criticize law enforcement and put them down, until you need them. I had a neighbor like that, he’d bitch about the police every time he saw me, but if you parked in front of his house or walked down the sidewalk, he’d call the police.

Officer “suspected” but can’t prove a thing, therefore no law was broken and that’s why no charges were filed. It has nothing to do with quarterbacking.
