CHARLES CITY – Former Charles City standout basketball player Nate Buss has signed with a European league basketball team for the upcoming season.
Nate Buss said via social media Monday that “I can officially announce I have signed with Keravnos BC in Cyprus for the upcoming 2016-17 season.”
Buss, age 24, is listed as a 6-9 forward for the team. He finished his career at the University of Northern Iowa ranked seventh on UNI’s all-time free throw percentage list (80.6 percent) and played in all 35 games his senior season there in 2014-2015. As a high school senior in Charles City, he led the state of Iowa in scoring as a senior with 27.2 points per game average.
