Start times announced for two Iowa football non-conference games

logo_iowa_hawkeyesIOWA CITY, Iowa — The Big Ten Conference, in conjunction with its television partners, Monday announced the start times for two University of Iowa football nonconference games.

The Hawkeyes’ season opener against Miami (OH) on Sept. 3, will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on ESPNU. Iowa’s nonconference finale against North Dakota State – last season’s FCS national champions — will start at 11 a.m. (CT) on Sept. 17, and will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The Big Ten previously announced five other UI football kickoff start times for 2016. Iowa’s home game against in-state rival Iowa State on Sept. 10 will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. (CT), its Homecoming contest on Oct. 1 against Northwestern will start at 11 a.m. (CT), while its home game versus Michigan on Nov. 12 will start at 7 p.m. (CT). Iowa road games at Purdue on Oct. 15 and Penn State on Nov. 5 will start at 11 a.m. (CT) and 6:30 p.m. (CT), respectively.

Start times for Iowa’s remaining 2016 schedule will be announced later this fall.
