MASON CITY – He’s interfered with police. He’s been tazed. He’s been drunk and ran from cops with a baby in a stroller. He’s partaken in a booze-fueled joy ride. Now, he’s in jail for a month.
A Mason City man with a long, colorful record of keeping police and courts busy is back behind bars, this time serving a month for another public intoxication charge.
Brandon B. Ward was arrested by Mason City police back in November of 2015 for yet another public intoxication incident. He was charged with third-offense public intox. However, despite Ward’s long history of complicating the jobs of our police, he finally pled guilty Tuesday as Cerro Gordo prosecutors once again gave Ward a deal with a reduced charge of simple public intox.
Ward was sentenced by Judge Karen Salic to 30 days in jail and court costs of $208.00. Ward was booked into the county jail Tuesday evening after 8 PM to serve his sentence.
Ward has been involved in multiple nefarious activities. Most notably, he was tasered by Clear Lake police when he refused to cooperate; he interfered with Mason City police in the Wendy’s parking lot; he participated in a booze-fueled joy ride; and perhaps most disturbingly, was with two other known criminals, pushing a baby in a stroller down a steep hill when they ran from police while drunk.
I feel horrible for his family the factime that they have to see him acting like this and then putting his name through the mud I wish people could just behave for once
lol this guy has no idea big of a POS he is. We’re talking the bottom of the social totem pole
Pathetic !!!
Ain’t no party like a Brandon party, ’cause a Brandon party don’t stop
More evidence of the hypocritical alcoholic nation
He should be locked up for a couple of years
