We are looking at adopting a pet and was wondering if anyone has ever adopted from Patriots for Pets rescue shelter in Clearlake?
I have heard some good and some bad about the place. Does anyone know if that’s the best place to adopt or should we go to the Humane Society here in Mason City?

I just adopted a dog from Patriots and they were wonderful! They have a Facebook page so you can check out photos of their adoptable dogs. My vet referred me to them.

The Chamber of Commerce is much like the American Law Institute and the BAR associations across America. They are quasi governmental organizations intertwined with official government policy. The United States Military is also one of these quasi organizations which aren’t actually publicly official at all, but have come to be utilized by the government to fulfill a practical purpose.

I have personally overheard this group swayed many past election in the last six months. Many of us have looked at MC and seen it for what it has become, a retirement community. Vacant buildings everywhere because not everyone has a new business geared to the 65+ aged. A town council that minus Adams and Lee are so inept they crush any growth potential that might still exist. Why are new businesses and our graduates running from this town? Maybe because nothing is here for them. This town’s population is 65+. What happens in 5 years when our huge tax base passes away? When I responded to his answer I did not put anything derogatory about him or to him in my Response but LVS deleted it anyway! I thought he only deleted comments that were derogatory to him. It appears he also delete comments that he just plain does not agree with.
Bull Shit. If you were deleted it was because you were in a thread and when the loud mouth troll made a derogatory remark and was rightfully deleted your comment went with him. I will continue to delete every comment they make calling me names or using derogatory comments. The body of her relative is barely cool and almost not even a positive ID has been done and Deoshea Foster already has a GoFundMe page set up with a goal of $15K. No offense to the family of the deceased, but I think this is really horrible.
I’ve known parts of the Foster family for almost my entire life, but she seems to take the cake. She seems to take any situation and see how she can squeeze some money out of it. She didn’t even wait a day, just dove right in seeking money for the “family expenses”.
One of the friends of the deceased said they were all drunk. I’m betting the drivers family will get sued. Not enough go fund me money will be enough for that.
Your probably right, but I doubt that the driver forced any of them into his vehicle and held them at gun point. Unfortunately personnel responsibility is not alive and well in our society any more. It’s always somebodies else’s fault.

Under Iowa law when a person gets into someone else’s vehicle they accept responsibility for their own well being. There will be no lawsuit because there are no lawyers that will take the case.

Both of you have junk arguments. Tell me how a passenger in the backseat can get out of the vehicle when it’s speeding along at 80mph and the driver is acting like an asshole? No, liability rests with the driver and the driver alone. If it was determined the driver was in the wrong, and his passengers died…AND…he was underage and using his parents vehicle…well holy shit Batman…the parents of that kid are super liable. Insurance will kick in up to a point…but then after that…it’s smooth sailing to the bank. Sucks…but the parents SHOULD be responsible for a wild reckless out of control kid who just killed 4 other people. However, there is the possibility a passenger reached over and yanked the steering wheel or otherwise interfered with the driver…but DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES…so unless the intersection camera caught it all on tape…the secret dies with the.
