COLUMBIA, S.C. – Former NIACC cross country runner Stephanie Faught, who runs at Columbia College, was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference women’s cross country runner of the week.
Faught, a senior from Clear Lake, won the University of South Carolina-Aiken’s Bridgestone Invitational 5-kilometer race in a season-best time of 20 minutes, 35 seconds leading Columbia College to the team title.
Faught owns the 13th best NIACC women’s cross country time of 20:31 at the 2013 NJCAA national meet.
Columbia College, an NAIA school, returns to action today at the Queens University of Charlotte Royal Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
