MASON CITY – Police caught a wanted Nora Springs woman on Monroe Avenue this weekend, and they discovered methamphetamine in her possession.
Mason City police stopped a vehicle driven by Malorie Elaine Wolcott, age 27 of Nora Springs, on the evening of October 3 at about 6 PM near Monroe Avenue and Second Street SW. Walcott was wanted on an arrest warrant, and officers soon discovered she was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and also had no valid driver’s license.
Wolcott was taken to jail and held on $3,300 cash-only bond.
She had been arrested on August 11 in Clear Lake by Cerro Gordo deputies for meth possession. She has pled not guilty in that case and awaits a jury trial on December 1.

Man what is up with our judicial system? Almost every F**ken drug user in this shitty town goes to court, gets a suspended sentence and goes right back and repeats this over and over until the courts cant give them a break. Then you get a guy that gets an owi 1st offence and gets 2 days in jail, $1300 dollar fine. Makes a lot of sense to me! Rightttttttttttttttttttt!!!! F**ken drug addicts need to be sent to Alcretraz island with no food just a needle.
Alcohol is a drug. When someone gets loaded up on Alcohol and gets behind the wheel of a car it’s essentially a loaded weapon driving down the road. Someone who is simply in possession of of a drug is really only a danger to themselves.
