MASON CITY – If you are fascinated by America’s bird, the eagle, you will have a chance to see one up close at an upcoming program at Lime Creek Nature Center.
The National Eagle Center from Wabasha, Minnesota will visit the Lime Creek Nature Center on Monday, September 21 at 7 PM.
At this free public program, participants will learn all about eagle biology, ecology, natural history and cultural connections in an engaging and entertaining presentation by an Eagle Center naturalist interpreter.
According to the National Eagle Center, “Have you ever wondered ‘How much does an eagle weigh?’ ‘How big is their wingspan?’ The answers await you in these engaging and entertaining live eagle programs. Through hands-on and interactive teaching our staff of naturalists will share the biology, ecology and natural history of bald and golden eagles. All of our presenters are knowledgeable, engaging and eager to share their passion for eagles.”
They have between 1 and 5 eagles that they may use at the program.
A live bald eagle from the center will be present for this program and cameras are welcome. Lime Creek requests that those who wish to attend please call 641-423-5309 to register.
