LE MARS, IOWA – A female teacher turned herself in this week on a warrant connected to an alleged sexual relationship she had with a male teen student.
Samantha Kohls, age 24 of Cedar Falls, turned herself in Thursday to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, a report from that agency shows. Kohls was a teacher in that western Iowa county when reports surfaced that she was having an inappropriate relationship with a male teen student. She is now charged with two counts of aggravated misdemeanor sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist. The report now says she works for the University of Northern Iowa.
Kohl’s posted $2,000 bond and was released pending a court date.
