Globe Publisher Query hospitalized after auto accident

MASON CITY – Police confirmed this morning that Globe Gazette Publisher Howard Query was involved in a single-vehicle accident and was hospitalized.

According to police chief Michael Lashbrook, on August 19, 2015, at 12:07 PM, police received a report of a single vehicle collision at 7th and South Mississippi Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle had been driven through several yards, striking a flag pole, and ended when it struck a tree located in the yard of 1 Mississippi Circle.

The driver of the vehicle was Howard Eugene Query, age 62, of Mason City. He is the publisher of the Globe Gazette.

Query was not charged in the accident. He was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment. There was no word on his condition.

see no medical excuses being tossed about so why automatically assume because or his age, or better yet from the looks of him- that a medical issue to blame… He is to blame, he was behind the wheel!!! if it turns out he indeed does have a medical condition – I’m sure he had also been well advised he probably shouldn’t drive… Just state the facts!

One thing about it, when people get older they have medical issues. No doubt that is this case.
