RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A twice-convicted drunk driver was stopped late Sunday night for illegally driving and running a stop sign.
A Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop late Sunday night at about 11:05 PM near Nettle Avenue and 240th Street. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Adam Henry Bates of Rockwell, and driven through a stop sign. During the traffic stop, the deputy found that Bates is a barred driver due to two drunk driving convictions.
Bates was arrested and taken to the county jail, where he was booked and released pending a court date.
