Convicted drug offender runs from cops, is caught with meth

MASON CITY – There was trouble just north of the Cultural Crescent, as a convicted drug offender fled cops and was soon caught with the powerful, addictive drug methamphetamine.

Friday night, July 31 at just before midnight, a Cerro Gordo deputy located a wanted drug offender on a bicycle near the 700 block of North Adams Avenue. However, the suspect, 35-year-old Tyrel James Finger of Mason City, attempted to flee the pursuing deputy. He was soon caught and arrested.

Finger was wanted on a warrant for driving while barred. He was also charged with interference with official acts, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and 3rd offense possession of marijuana. He remains jailed on $104,000 cash bond as he awaits an August 7 court date.

Damn dopers are everywhere. we have them riding down the middle of the street on their bikes every day. They come from the drug house on Quincy and ride down to Washington by Kum & Go. Then they make a sale and go pick the drugs up on Quincy. They should tear down the junk mobile homes, they have been a hiding place for criminals for a long time.

Anyone know if this dude rides a bike at night with green x-mas lights on it?

Yes, meth is a powerfully, addictive drug that is illegal. Thank goodness there’s another one off the streets.
