MASON CITY – The “AK-47″ bandit may be responsible for Monday’s credit union robbery in Mason City, police say.
The male suspect is described as 5’9” to 6′ tall, medium build, possible blue eyes, 20’s to 40’s in age, and was wearing a black ski mask and gloves. He was armed with an AK-47 assault rifle with a high capacity drum magazine. He took an undisclosed amount of money and left the area in a 2007 to 2009 black or dark-colored Toyota Camry LE. He left behind an improvised explosive device that was rendered safe by the FBI and State Fire Marshall.
Multiple police and law enforcement agencies are now seeking this suspect, who once shot and seriously injured a Chino, California police officer. In previous robberies, he has used a 2009-2001 dark gray Nissan Maxima and a reddish-orange Jeep Liberty or Patriot SUV.
Call 911 or police if you have information that could help law enforcement catch the suspect.

The amount of time he told employees before explosive device is the time he needed to switch cars ..
Got all hose cops running around looking around for black charger, black impala, black pinto…. He was driving a white car within 3-4 minutes of bank robbery ……
He obviously switched cars ……. I would start by investigating near by storage facility … You will possibly find black Camry in one of those units.. He hid and switched cars within 5 minutes ..
So supposedly the SAME guy who has used 3 different cars in separate robberies in different states ranging anywhere from 20’s to double that has used the most common rifle IN THE WORLD to commit these crimes. Probably the same guy. Sounds legit.

Well ! Which of the 4 cars that he used in the robbery was he driving ?- it’s like trying to get an honest answer out of a politican – must have a good lobbyist because he sure is getting plenty of FREE taxpayer money.
