CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was taken to jail after an physical incident at an apartment complex.
Police were called the South Cedar Terrace area in Charles City on July 23 at about 4:12 PM. After an investigation, officers arrested 24-year-old Paige Hagarty on a charge of assault.
Hagarty was released from jail later that same day. She is due in court for trial on July 24.

I don’t know here and wish her no disrespect or harm. I’m sure she is a generally nice person and just lost her temper and is very troubled. But I do want to say something to the mother. Your daughter is 24. She is grown. Stop threatening Matt over some bull crap. Instead of writing Matt you should have been helping Paige with her mental health if it even exists. If the cops don’t take he to 5east! Than there is a reason because they would be criminally and civilly liable if she were to hurt herself. Also read Miranda! Cops only mirandize a suspect if they are going to question them, they had enough probable cause to make the arrest and must have felt no need to question her. If they did question her than anything she said from that point may be suppressed. I may be coax but I’m not dumb!

But please report she was not read miranda rights & when she told cops she was suicidal & request to go to hospital the cops told her she didn’t deserve to go & they did not take her

Went to cedar terrace. Was not called. They came from kwik star cause they saw it. I and 2 others were there. Police were not called. How much clearer do I need to make it. You are wrong. Truth in reporting is a law
