MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Vikings appear to have found a big bank ready to purchase naming rights to its billion-dollar stadium still under construction.
According to reports from Street and Smith’s Sports Business Daily, US Bank will pay about $220 million over 25 years for naming rights to the new Minneapolis stadium, set to open in 2016. The Vikings will again play in TCF Bank Stadium this season on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
US Bank, based in Minneapolis, claims to have $410 billion in assets and is the 5th largest commercial bank in the United States. The company operates 3,172 banking offices in 25 states and 5,016 ATMS and provides a comprehensive line of banking, brokerage, insurance, investment, mortgage, trust and payment services products to consumers, businesses and institutions.
