MASON CITY – A recently-engaged Minnesota couple was caught stealing at Wal-Mart Wednesday afternoon and jailed.
Mason City police were called to the Wal-Mart Super Center, 4151 4th Street SW, Wednesday afternoon at about 2:31 PM after employees reported shoplifters in the store. Two persons were detained for trying to steal merchandise in value up to $500.
Kala Noel Eastman, age 26 of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, was charged with theft in the fourth degree and unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
Also arrested was Eastman’s fiancé, Beau Raymond Hengton, age 33, also of White Bear Lake. Hengton was charged with fourth degree theft, providing false identification, and held on no bond due to a warrant out of Ramsey county, Minnesota, from drug possession.
Both were taken to the county jail and processed.
