GARNER – An auto accident was called in Thursday by a law enforcement officer.
There call was made around 5 PM, and the officer reported three vehicles involved in a head-on crash on Highway 18 east of Garner. At 6 PM, more injured persons were requesting an ambulance take them to a Mason City hospital for treatment.
Darla Asche, age 55, of Garner, died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, as result of this motor vehicle accident.
Three other persons were injured and taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City: Mean Brood, age 26 of Rockwell; Norma Lovstad, age 62 of Burt; and Donna Geving, age 84 of Algona.
